We went to the Church last night (Saturday) which was 7pm our time to watch the first session of Conference. Then we returned to watch the second session Sunday at 9am. We watched from 9-11 then had a break for an hour then watched from 12-2 then we fed the missionaries sandwiches, salads, chips, candy and juice. (I think some of them were missing the homemade cinnamon rolls and snuggling on the couch). The missionaries that were close enough to our Chapel came in to view conference here in Donetsk. I am not sure what the Kharkov missionaries did. Some of the Donetsk missionaries from outlying areas did spend the night. I know the Sisters got to stay at the Mission Home with President and Sister Fry. Speaking of Sisters, Sister Howard pointed her mother out who was singing in the Choir. That was fun to see her. The music was beautiful. We really were touched by the children's choir as well. There is one more session tonight but we are going to watch it from our apartment. It has been wonderful. I will write more later.

i agree with everything in your post! i loved conference. I always do and this one is now my most fave. The organist is a brother to a man in our ward.
What a special time for everyone. Lucky sister missionaries!
So Melinda, what was your fav part of conference? What stood out to you?
Sis. Kinghorn, I'm new to your blog and just wanted to say thanks for such a great blog! I love all of the pictures and reading about Ukraine, the country and the people. I especially love the pictures with Elder Sutherland in them. THANKS! You have given me such a great feel for this country and experience you are having. Can't wait for the day when I can serve a mission too. Thanks again, Karen Sutherland
It's fun to see what you did during conference...It's amazing to me that so many people all over the world can watch it. So many wonderful things were said!
Sister Southerland, I love Elder Southerland, you did good with this boy mom. He is such a great young man. He is in our District which means he comes to our home weekly. We love to have him.
